Good food. The broth in the hot pot is amazing. You can find a whole chicken 🐔 there.

Yin Yang Taiwanese hotpot! It has been a while since we have had hotpot and today we've decided to try out this Taiwanese hotpot place in causewaybay. We've heard good things about it so we thought we would find out for ourselves. It was surprisingly not busy when we got there, which was a lunch time for a Saturday. Maybe people are still conscious about the possible spread 'impact' for covid from hotpot. You can see some photos of some famous celebrities as well at the entrance. The seating arrangement was very spacious and added comfort with not many people around. We ordered a "Yin Yang" hotpot with sichuan spicy and picked vegetable pork soup, since we both wanted a different style pot. We also ordered a plate of sliced pork, cuttlefish mince, crab stick and the Taiwanese sausage hot food. For drinks we ordered the iced white peach oolong tea to help with spice and heat from the hotpot. There is a seasoning station where you can make your own seasoning with it ingredients like spring onions, fried garlic, chopped chilies and soy dauce. The hotpot was huge with plenty of ingredients and spices in both soup base, giving a much stronger aroma for the Sichuan spicy base. The Sichuan soup base was really tasty and not too spicy for my taste, so would be an excellent choice for those who like the Sichuan style dish. The picked vegetable pork soup was nice too with some freshness and some transparent flat noodles in it. The sliced pork was excellent, with more fat distribution but it was sliced perfectly for hotpot. The cuttlefish mince was also fresh and tender! The crabstick was standard but just have to take care of not overcooking it as it will just split and gone about. The Taiwanese sausage was a bit too oily when they cooked it in our opinion but the taste was quite nice with a bit of saltiness. The iced white peach oolong tea has a very slight peach flavour in it which is a perfect match for the flavour intensed hotpot. Overall it was a really good place for hotpot, both for the environment and the food that it provides. Would highly recommend this hotpot place!

Nice environment and their set lunch is a good deal! 👍🏻
