Love the food and experience, and the best part was no time limit. Got plenty of time to enjoy the food, the vibe and look outside the huge windows. Drinks are fye.

One of my go-to lunch places in Causeway Bay. Affordable with extremely generous portion, not to mention the great view on the 29th floor :) Personal hot pot set lunch is 60HKD (+10%) and it comes with: soup of choice, 3 toppings (additional toppings at a cost), rice/noodle, 1 non-alcoholic drink. I recommend: - Mala/Sanbei Chicken soup base with Yuchuan ramen - Bubble tea: comes with cream and crushed oreos, although the bubble is a bit tough. - Iced fruit teas We came here on Saturday at 11:30am right when it opened but it gets busier at around 12:30-1pm, with short wait sometimes. There is a 1-hour time limit for lunch.

Not another Hot Pot place "Hot pot!?" Was my irritated response when my wife dragged me here and when I heard that it was an all inclusive with drinks I was flabbergasted. At HKD388 per person it was quite an expensive meal. That is until I started eating the food and taking in the breathtaking site from the balcony. 101 GBH (grill bar + hotpot) is not an easy place to find for tourist. It is located on the 29th floor of a building on a street packed with restaurants of all walks. Asking around my Cantonese speaking wife finally found the place and we were briskly on the 29th floor. She had already booked a table and the friendly staff quickly took us to our seats. We chose a chicken hotpot which was sufficiently crammed of all sorts of tofu, chicken, veg, fish balls and red onion rings. It was slightly spicy but was flavoursome with a taste of star anise sechuan pepper corns and a host of other spices. As with any hot pot meal we were given soy sauce and a variety of condiments to mix with it (chilli, fried onion etc). Personally I find that the soy makes the food more salty and complicates the flavour already in the hot pot. An extravagance that I try to avoid. The beef slices were generous and were thin enough to cook quicky and to be infused with the flavours of the hot pot. The beef was probably from the pate or brisket as it has senewy fatty areas that helped to accentuate the taste. My personal favourite were the tofu skin and the fried fish skin. Both could be soaked in the hot pot. In the case of the tofu skin it became a soggy towel that was pulsing with the heat and flavour of the hot pot. The fish skin stayed to its fried nature even after being drowned in the hot pot. Both were just delicious and we finished them almost immediately. The drinks are just superb at the 101 GBH and a sheer pleasure for choice. They have the traditional soft drinks, including the tea with ball drinks. They had a wierd cola drink with the cola bottle prominently displayed, they had two great beers and some exceptional made cocktails. The mixologist here were fine fellows. We later went to the balcony to get a view of Kow Loon from the balcony. This area was beautifully lit with about 7 bar tables looking into a gorgeous cityscape. We spent about half an hour here before we even paid for the meal having informed the polite staff that we would like to take in the view. I am not and never have been a fan of hot pot but this place had the best hot pot I have tasted so far. If you are looking for a place to try out, having arrived in Hong Kong Island, and you want to go local try this! Even the menu is in english.. what else could you ask for.
