Happy Valley, Hong Kong｜Tasting Court Chinese Cuisine

相比大班樓，更喜歡天一閣。Feels like The Chairman has more of Western influence whereas Tasting Court serves more traditional flavors. They offer amazing Cantonese food, everything requiring skillful handling of fine quality ingredients. Everything off the menu was very very impressive. The lamb brisket (subject to availability) is a must. I was also impressed by the char siu, not too sweet, not too salty, meat was grilled to tender. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal from starter to dessert. Will definitely come back for gatherings!

Great service. The food succeeded in brining out the natural flavor of ingredients. My favorite is the baked chicken which is perfectly cooked.

Amazing private kitchen; all their dishes are very good but the crab is the best! Remember to ask the waiter to save the sauce from the crab dish (they will usually do it automatically) where they will reheat it and bring it out with the noodles or rice dish, and using the crab sauce as a gravy on the noodle / rice brings it to another level. Definitely a place you can bring some nice wines (HKD $100 corkage per bottle) to go with the amazing food!
