More Comments at Google MapA FOODIE’S FIND OF CLASSIC DIM SUM.🤩🤩🤩. Though unstarred, this is a Michelin recommended or commended restaurant for Hongkong and Macau👏👏👏. It’s evidently a community treasure. They serve Dim Sum at breakfast as early as 6:30 AM. At 7:00 AM tables are occupied and single diners would just have to share one. Elderly Hongkongnese are the most notable customers at breakfast time. The host mentioned breakfast is really the best time here. It is when there’s a very large selection of foods👏👏👏. People have two rituals: (a) Rinsing cups, soup spoons, bowls, teacups and chopsticks with hot water and the first steeping of tea. (b) Reading newspapers. Dining is straightforward. Hot tea (no plain water). Then the carts come around, people choose (point to what they want). IT IS DIM SUM HEAVEN🤩🤩🤩, which is why it’s Michelin commended. One eats direct from the Dim Sum basket… no extra plates provided. The staff are very attentive👍👍👍. For non-Chinese speaking customers, the body language and smiles/gestures of the staff makes on very welcoming. They grin from ear when Western customers choose the more unfamiliar items (duck web, gizzards, intestines, etc)😎👌👌 Simply savor the flavors, feel the textures. Cleanse the palate with tea…. And just enjoy. Share a table and chat with people while enjoying the food👏👏👏. It is fairly inexpensive. You pay however much you consume.
The food was excellent, providing an authentic dim sum experience. The place is busy and you might be seated with strangers for smaller groups. However, communication can be challenging as most servers don't speak English. Despite that, it's affordable and definitely worth it.
Michelin Star for Dimsum. Shared seating, sit anywhere. Don't expect this place to be clean. You're here for the food. They give you tea and hot water. Use the water to clean the utensils and to refill the tea. Recommended: Fried Taro ball, fried shrimp ball, steamed spare ribs, radish cake/pudding, asado siopao, 肉包(pork&shrimp siopao), steamed shrimp ball, offal & pig trotters Didn't Like: (I don't like coriander) Beef ball - mixed coriander in meat, sauce is black vinegar+cloves (not bad, very interesting) Pork ball - mixed coriander in meat Chicken+mushroom wrap (idk what it's called) - the chicken is good, I think it's wrapped in radish, that's why the texture was mushy
