𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬! 🌶️ Back at The Hua Restaurant to try out their dinner set this time and we were so impressed by the quality and variety they had to offer! ✨ We ordered their 川粵潮商務晚餐 priced at $628 hkd for 2 people + 10% service charge. Pic 1️⃣: 招牌口水雞 — This was so good! Chicken was tender, with a good balance of fat. In comparison to most 口水雞, the sauce for this is slightly thicker but extra flavourful with a aromatic nuttiness to it. Definitely recommend this! Pic 2️⃣: 紅花水煮牛三角 — One of their signature main dishes here. The Sichuan sauce was fragrant and packed with flavour. The beef slices were tender, and the sweet potato noodles soaked up the sauce nicely. Pic 3️⃣: 蒜香黑豚叉燒鮮蝦炒絲苗 — This plate was full of flavour and the garlic aroma was really prominent but not overpowering. The cha siu added a smoky, meaty element to the dish and the shrimp was fresh too. This was perfectly stir fried and you could see the individual grains of rice. Pic 4️⃣: 杏汁花膠絲浸菜心 — Usually not a fan of almond soups but this dish really changed my mind! The almond soup base was flavourful, without an overpowering almond flavour to it. The vegetables soaked up all the savoury flavours from the soup nicely. The fish maw portion was very generous here. Pic 5️⃣: 瑤柱粟米羹 — Soup had a good consistency to it and was well seasoned. The corn flavour was quite prominent with a subtle sweetness to it. Pic 6️⃣: 西湖牛肉羹 — A must order for coriander lovers. The soup was flavourful, with a strong coriander aroma and rich beefy flavour. Loved the minced beef for that extra boost of flavour. Pic 7️⃣: 椒汁南非鮑魚片 — One of their signature appetisers here and a must order! Prepared with sliced abalone, mixed in with their homemade rattan pepper sauce which has the perfect balance of mala spiciness, savouriness and sweetness, this flavourful dish is guaranteed to open up your appetite. Pic 8️⃣: 金磚豆腐粒 — Perfectly deep fried. The batter was well seasoned. Pic 9️⃣: 精美糕點(棗皇糕 & 黑糖蜂巢糕) — Sweet way to end the meal. The red date and black sugar pudding were equally as tasty with a unique aroma and very chewy texture.

Great spot for Sichuan food and other delicacies hidden away on Jaffe Road. Booked a private room for a party of 14 and the food and service was great. The most notable dishes were the fish with sour marinated vegetables and the fried tofu. The chicken was also splendid and cooked to perfection; still juicy throughout. The crab with glutinous rice was also amazingly tasty. Would definitely come again for special occasions!

Amazing authentic Sichuan cuisine, it was a delectable dinner, everything was delicious. Appreciate the efforts for these手工菜, esp the “Pagoda” pork belly with crispy rice, so good!
