My friend has been living abroad for many years and recently returned to Hong Kong for the Chinese New Year holiday. Since my friend invited me, of course I would be happy to accompany him. My friend loves Shanghainese food. He remembers that there is a "Shanghai Alley" on Mianfa Street. He has visited it before. The food tastes good and the service is of a high standard, so he chose to have lunch in the area. Although I didn't come in a row, the interior decoration is not much different from the last time I came here. There are calligraphy and oil paintings hanging on the walls. The Chinese style looks elegant and natural. I chose a dining table near the door, with a large glass window next to it. Gently bite open the top, sip the soup and then put it in your mouth. The soup is clear and naturally seasoned. The texture of the filling is layered, with the chewiness of lean meat and the fat aroma of fat meat, and the taste is not as small as in the market. The steamed buns are so greasy, but the quality is still good. The pan-fried fresh meat dumplings ($40) that followed were also very good. The dumplings were pan-fried immediately upon ordering and were still hot when served to the table. Pick it up and bite it open. The skin is very thin, crispy, not hard, and not greasy. It is also packed tightly and tightly, which is perfect for handcrafting. As for the filling inside, it is also very tasty. The pork meat is rich in flavor, tender and smooth, and the seasoning is moderate. There is still a lot of gravy when you taste it carefully, which is very good! The final dish, the Casserole Chicken Wonton ($102), is also generous in size. The chicken soup has a strong chicken flavor and no MSG at all. The wontons are crystal clear, large in size, swollen and plump in appearance, thin and slippery in skin, and the fillings are good. The ratio of vegetables to pork is perfect, and the meat fillings are delicious. The chicken is very tender and tender, and the soup and noodles are filled with a lot of Chinese cabbage that soaks up the flavor. It's full of ingredients. Everyone was already quite full, but when my friend saw the neighboring table ordering the Kehei Sesame Soup Balls ($32), he asked for more, so we all ordered bowls to share. The outer shell of the soup balls is quite smoky and tough, and the inside is full of black sesame filling. The sweetness is good, and the taste is sweet and refreshing. It is perfect as an after-dinner dessert to complete your personal warming. My friend was very satisfied with my recommendation this time and said that the meal was very satisfying. Before leaving, he kept praising the waiters in the store for being attentive and kind.
