Kowloon City, Hong Kong｜Shun Hing Restaurant

Wanting an authentic Hong Kong breakfast, we ventured into Shun Hing restaurant on our first morning. Matthew soon provided us with a translated menu and offered advice on which breakfast to try. This restaurant became our go-to place every day. Excellent value for money - we tried different breakfasts and were never disappointed. Friendly & great value - thank you 😊

We were staying in the Regal Oriental Hotel close by, but wanted to experience a real Chinese breakfast. Walking past this on the way to the metro we saw this was filled with locals which is always a good sign. The menu is in Chinese , however a waiter ( we later found out was Matthew) gave us a hand written English copy and advised us of what to have. Pork with noodles for one of us beef with noodles for the other , and a side plate of sausage, ham and egg with a sweet bun and coffee each and this came to $HK 72 ….£7.50 for two people. Payable by cash or octopus. …. That was us hooked and we returned every day after that … an real find and we were made to feel so welcome
