Wan Chai, Hong Kong｜Yu Chuan Club

I would like to call it the ceiling of Sichuan cuisine in Hong Kong Very authentic Sichuan taste, the numbness and spiciness are just right. Every dish is very comfortable to eat. Seeing the lethal amount of chili and peppercorns, it is completely fragrant in the mouth, and with a little stimulation, it is like a dream to go back to Chengdu.

A hidden gem on HK island! Incredible, authentic Sichuan food, hands down the best I’ve ever had. Cumin beef, tofu, beans and cold noodles were indescribably delicious. Also must try the poached fish dish. However this is a private dining club, you need to be a member to eat here so you can’t visit spontaneously

It was an overnight layover in HK before heading home, so we wanted something different for dinner. We searched around and ended up at Yu Chuan. First off, it's a bit hard to find the place - you have to follow the signs and take an elevator to the 2nd floor. We were there literally 45 minutes before the closing time but the lady/host was more than happy to seat us and explained the dishes on the menu. We picked a set dinner for 2 - 2 cold dishes and 3 hot dishes. My buddy and I love Sichuan dishes and knowingly picked all spicy dishes. They all tasted great, no exception. My favorites were the bowl of beef with lots of Sichuan pepper and the tofu. Ok, the chicken and the duck were equally good. We even got a free vegetable dish. However, my mouth and tongue were numb from the Sichuan pepper half way through the dinner but we soldiered on. Service was great. Will I go back? Great food, great service, hell yeah..... Just don't order ALL spicy dishes next time.
