Causeway Bay, Hong Kong｜Yu

This was hard to decide between 4 and 5 stars. The restaurant itself has a really pleasant atmosphere, and aspects of the food were good, like the noodles and presentation. But the DanDan sauce and meat itself was slightly bland. I'm going to go back and try another dish on the menu and see if possibly it was my selection that was at fault.

Yu’s sichuanese cuisine is second to none on this side of the island. Food is always consistently excellent and comes very fast. We love, love, LOVE the marinated cucumbers and will order two servings of that almost every visit. Their beef noodles are super springy and light with tender brisket. If you’re more partial to pork, the pork rib noodles are also lit. Try the cucumber soy milk for something a little special but the regular soy also pairs very well with the meal - and helps diffuse some of the spice 🤣

Great local restaurants for spicy comfort food! Dan Dan Noodles is no doubt the must order dish. Other dishes are equally delicious and give you that numbing sensation on the tongue 👅
