Causeway Bay, Hong Kong｜Nanbantei of Tokyo 南蛮亭

Great quality Izakaya in the heart of Causeway bay! Tried a range of their skewers: Asparagus & pork, lychee & pork (surprisingly good! the sweetness of the lychee pairs nicely with the saltiness of the pork), beef tongue, tsukune, chicken wings and their famous cheese zuccini. Though my personal recommendation has to be their fried chicken, so juicy and tender and crispy on the outside. Batter is well seasoned and not too thick! Would come back again with friends to catch up over their wide selections of drinks! 🥰

I'd say they're the most consistent yakitori in HK. Food is always tasty. For example, beef or chicken are grilled to tender but still juicy. Food here are not overly salty as it normally happens in other yakitori places. Staff and chef are very friendly and attentive. It's my favourite yakitori place in HK. Just one suggestion if the chef or owner would read, please bring back the grilled oysters (without bacon or any other stuff on top).
