Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong｜Sushi Mai

This sushi restaurant the hidden gem of TST, located in an alley of the hustling and bustling main street across the Prat Avenue and it does not disappoint me with the signature omakase dinner set. The tuna toro is the best out of all dishes and something close to what I had a few years back in Japan - the fatty tuna sashimi stimulates my taste buds with its soft texture and fish oil. I also like the seasonal oyster paired with uni, which is rich and creamy. 😋 I am happy with the way the sushi master arranged and the food in sequence. The only thing I found quite unusual about the meal is the dessert - chocolate lava cake with strawberries. Overall, it's a reasonably priced restaurant for omakase that I'll visit again soon.

Easily one of the best omakase experience I have had in Hk. I had the lunch omakase set, I was enjoying my food too much that I barely took photos. I remember there was five types of sashimi and five different sushi; followed by a hot dish and soup and dessert. Everything was super fresh and the boss is super friendly and generous with the portion. The lunch menu is super good value. Highly recommend it.

Absolute hidden gem tucked into the laneway of Tsim Sha Tsui/Jordan! Lunch omakase is served with uber freshness and the chef’s skill is thoroughly shining through! Absolutely love the marinated mackerel with the super crispy seaweed.
