To Kwa Wan, Hong Kong｜旺囍 雞太郎

One cannot say they have experienced Hong Kong culture if they have not tried "cart noodles", an à la carte soup noodle served in carts in the 1950s and 1960s. Nowadays, it has moved into proper shops but has remained immensely popular among locals. Conveniently situated in the heart of Kowloon (Mong Kok), Double Happiness is one of my favourite "cart noodles" shops in Hong Kong and I would not hesitate to recommend. The shop offers great variety, portion and taste and is run with heart ♥️♥️. You can come right after a visit to Ladies Market or Langham Place (also in Mong Kok) for a much better experience of local culture compared to chain restaurants. If anyone can't read Chinese, feel free to try the combination of Beef Brisket (牛腩), Cuttlefish Balls (墨魚丸) and Beef Tripe (牛栢葉) as shown in my photo.
