Mong Kok, Hong Kong｜Spicy Andong

I just never get tired of Korean food! Apart from the most prominent grill and fried chicken, we found the 2-storey Spicy Andong in Mongkok that specializes in chicken pots and various kinds of Korean cuisine. Wanted something not so greasy to start with so we ordered kimchi tofu soup. Ingredients included kimchi, tofu, rice cake, fish cake and mushrooms. Good umami from the fish cake. Korean style smoked pork knuckle was also their recommended dish. Served with an appetizing sweet and chili sauce. The skin tasted slightly salty and sweet with flavors of soy sauce and black pepper. Thick and gelatinous. Meaty texture. Big portion! Jinro would never disappoint you when it comes to pairing with Korean food! Most customers ordered their signature chicken pot. It is cooked with my favorite glass noodles that absorb a lot of the intense broth. Can't wait to try next time!

Delicious big bowl feast, fresh oysters and other seafood makes our lunar year special, especially under the threatening of wuhan virus in the past year, chicken can be a little better desperate their signature food, although it may come to my unusual high expectation. The way they support the Hong Kong movement deserve special mention and support too, will surely come again for their chicken hotpot...
