More Comments at Google MapThis tsukemen shop 🍜is near Tsuen Wan Plaza and required about the 10 minutes walk from Tsuen Wan West Station and the bus terminus. It offers 3 types of tsukemen and no ramen with soup served, fish and pork bone soup (original), original with garlic, and limited special at that time, original tomato when I visited. Ordered original and original with garlic, I thought the foundation of these noodles is robust. The fish flavor 🐟and pork bone🐷 is balanced with topping, spring onion, barbecued pork and marinated eggs. The taste of garlic gives an extra embellishment for the tsukemen, but not too salty. They also provided lemon vinegar, fried garlic, spicy sauce, and cheese powder for touch-up. Vinegar and garlic powder did a delighted job for the tsekumen. For the tomato🍅 tsukemen, some spices are also added to give a more complicated flavor, maybe thyme or dill. It is also very good with fried garlic. Price for these 2 is $171. I think it is reasonable and acceptable for its quality.
Noodles has good texture and the soup is nicely prepared with no MSG, rich in umami flavour, thick in texture. The char siu is soft and tender and soft boiled egg is beautifully raw in the middle with perfect sweetness.
Delighted to find little gem in Tsuen Wan, maybe this is not the best Tsukemen in HK, but definitely one of the top 5 for me. It’s the authenticity that counts, since we can’t travel right now, the Japanese decor with JPop playing the background, and eating Tsukemen, not bad at all.
