Sai Wan, Hong Kong｜Wah Yee Tang Cake Shop

This is a very popular bakery on the Internet and i finally got a chance to visit! A small shop but the boss was super friendly. Unfortunately i came at a late time (about 4-ish to 5) so all fresh baked bun were gone :( although it is only August now they start selling mooncakes. A lot of choices- the traditional lotus paste with single yolk, double yolks and four yolks!! Oh my goodness four yolks... super high cholest but super tempting!!! I bought one..... also some modern flavors like red bean paste, green tea, sweet potato too! Too many that i cannot handle lol! It also got some funny little accessories to sell like key chains, pins etc. great place to see and buy! Can’t wait to cut open my four yolks at home!

<Purple Potato Chiffon Cake> Wah Yee Tang Cake Shop is a really traditional local bakery with a modern touch, not only to their decorations, but also their bakery items. Love these little PePe cookies! Would love to try them out next time. As I was attracted by these freshly baked purple potato cake! I bought a fresh piece home, and could smell the delightful flavor through my mask when I was going home on the bus! Even though I had the cake as breakfast on the other day, it was still so soft and fluffy with a hint of sweet potato flavor! Very enjoyable indeed and made a superb breakfast! I will definitely go back for other bakery items!
