Kennedy Town, Hong Kong｜Mendel's

A neat little shop selling breakfast items. They are know for their signature bagels. The interior is designed like a typical American diner and the aesthetics are nice. I got their signature smoked salmon bagel. I thought it would be the thinly sliced ones like the lox bagels. But this is more the flakey ones cooked throughout. Makes sense since there's not a lot of fresh salmon around HK. and smoked salmon can get pricey here. Anyways I like it but I feel like its missing some sourness. The dill whipped cream is just perfect and the bagel is not dense and easy to bite into. I'd probably come here again if I'm having an itch for bagels. Probably try some other items as well

Mighty impressed by this small deli located right in the middle of a bustling lane. 1. The egg&spinach bagel was moist and flavourful and eggs well cooked. 2. Hash browns were one of the best I've had in HK so far. V less oil yet crunchy on the outside and soft inside. 3. Coffee was also good. Apart from the food, what stood out was the friendly staff and the quick service.

The best breakfast bagel and hash browns that I’ve had in a very long time! It gets pretty busy on weekends, but the Belcher Bay Promenade is close by. Grab a takeaway bagel or sammie and go soak up the sun ☀️🥯🐶 P.S. A message for the owners- please, please, please sell the pineapple sauce/ salsa on its own!
