Sham Shui Po, Hong Kong｜Kung Wo Beancurd Factory

A shop that specialises in tofu, Kung Wong Beancurd Factory was one of the oldest speciality tofu shops in the area. There are two main shops, the original which primarily like a grocer and a larger shop next door which is a restaurant. The tofu is silky with subtle flavours. I recommend a warm Tofu Fa with spoon full of sugar. The combination and texture is perfect. The fried tofu and fish cake are also stand outs. Probably wouldn't recommend the non tofu dishes. If you like traditional and simple flavours, it's a must visit when you come to HK! 😋😋😋👍👍👍

It's a tofu specialty store. As a fan of tofu and anything soybean, I went to this place! I got the Deep Fried Tofu and Tofu Puff platter, and it was good (but could've been better if it was freshly fried), perfectly paired with the sweet chili sauce. The Tofu pudding is similar to the "Taho" of the Philippines, its silken tofu served with sweet syrup on top — if it's not sweet enough for you, you can add more orange colored sugar as you eat it.

Happened to be googling for nice food around Sham Shui Po and Kung Wo popped up! Ordered some side dishes and I loved the tofu pudding totally! It's so creamy and smooth! Order the beancurd too! I love the hot version better! Add some of the orange sugar to go with it. It's nice!! Went back the next day to eat again =)
