Wan Chai, Hong Kong｜Yuen Long Hop Lun Noodles

Some time ago, I was “virtual food hunting” on Google maps, and when I saw the noodle pics from “Yuen Long Hop Lun” in Wan Chai, I knew that I just wanted to try it!.. And, so I did today and it was mind-blowing excellent! White pepper based soup with a long list of ingredients that you can picked from, loved the pork meat balls.. and the dry yellow noodles bathe in lard and dark soy.. Favourite noodle shop from today onwards - someone please give them a Michelin already! 😀 And for those who do not read Chinese like me, at first I was worried that I would not know how to order.. but they do have English order sheets and are also pretty helpful. ♥️

Such long queue, such long patient line up of hungry customers waiting for the amazing soup. The place is clean, staff are skilled and food portions are generous. Most importantly, they are delicious. The oysters are sooo sweet and juicy. HK icon it is.

Everytime I bypassed here it was always a long queue. Last week I had a chance finally to visit here without a queue. There are not a lot of options in menu and I ordered beef brisket noodle and sliced beef with fish ball in flat rice noodle. Firstly, the soup was rich in taste and apparently no MSG. The brisket was soft enough but juicy inside. The noodle was standard one. A reminder they made preserved pickles which is a bit of spicy. Good taste but please try in small portion firstly to test your standard of acceptance!
