More Comments at Google MapGuiyuan Noodle in To Kwa Wan is always packed with customers during lunch hours. Today I went there around 2.30pm and luckily there was a table available. Sliced pork belly with garlic sauce - crunchy thin slices of fatty pork loaded with grated garlic. Cucumber was mixed with chopped garlic and vinegar. Refreshing and good for clearing the palate. Standard bowl ingredients included minced pork, Chinese chives, bean sprouts and spring onions. You may also choose bean sprout base instead of carbs! Both hot and sour soup and mala soup were flavorful. The mala soup was numbing, with a layer of chili oil that kept the noodles hot. They offer many choices of toppings. I especially liked their lo sui. Tried chicken wings and pork belly - both perfectly marinated with a balanced umami and sweetness in the sauce. Pig red was smooth. Choy sum were fresh and crunchy. Tofu puffs had a seitan-like texture which absorbed a lot of soup. So yum! Soy milk - the best companion for mixian! Worth visiting again. Save the time for queueing in Tsuen Wan - Guiyuan is definitely an excellent option for a mixian fix!
Must-try spicy noodles in hung hom, I used to come here for lunch when worked nearby a few years before. It surprised me that it became popular in recent social media posts and that’s why I revisited. The mala spicy soup tasted good and hot! You can choose the spicy level and i chose the mild one. The ingredients were of wide range of choices, I recommend shredded chicken and sweet n sour wheat gluten. The shop is small and there is a big chance of queuing. But overall speaking, worth a try!
Good taste
