Hung Hom, Hong Kong｜Taro & Tea

Luckily we have early dinner and we arrive the shop at around 20:00 on Monday, so we don’t need to line up. My friend recommended me to come and try their taro ball, which is very tasty. The taro balls and mashed taro is not sweet. They also have mango seasonal special dessert. Definitely will come and try other desserts again.

It used to be called as another name. No idea why it changed its name. Their taro ball desserts are pretty nice with different base, such as soy milk, coconut milk and shaved ice. The soy milk and the toppings aren’t too sweet, but the grass jelly isn’t jiggly to my taste. Taro balls are chewy and well-made. You can taste the sweet potato and taro flavours. I would like to revisit for other taro balls desserts.

The queue is really long but it moves quickly. Hands down one of the best taro balls I’ve had. They actually taste like taro. The taro paste was also thick and not diluted. They are not stingy with the toppings. No wonder why they are so crowded!
