Wulao comes from Taiwan and specialises in the 2 soup bases and unlimited duck blood and frozen tofu. The soup bases is flavourful but a bit too salty for me. “White” soup is made of boiling chicken bones and pork bones, with onions, ginger and garlic. You can taste the mild Chinese herbs aftertaste. There’s an ice cream tofu per person, made from squid paste, fish paste and tofu. It does taste like ice cream! “Red soup” is spicy and hot, not overly greasy, and the herb flavours are much stronger. The waiters are very keen to keep refilling the duck blood and tofu to your pot. They absorbs the soup base very well, especially the frozen tofu. The beef short ribs are soft but the flavour aren’t that good, on the other hand, the chicken thigh is so much better, softer and more tender. My favourite is the beancurd roll. Boiling for 3 minutes according to the instructions, it soaks up all the soup and the tofu flavour is also good. The handmade meatballs of shrimp, beef, squid, pork respectively are so good. You can really taste the meat inside and the crunchiness. Then, you will be served with a bit of fruit sorbet to cleanse the palate. Such a perfect ending for the hot pot. I really like the service and the environment of the hot pot shop. It is comfortable and spacious, and enjoyable to be served by the waiters. They are really polite and passionate to serve the customers. Hopefully, I will revisit the hot pot shop again in winter.

Had dinner with a friend here on a weekday. The restaurant wasn’t busy overall. Very spacious and seats are comfortable, the server was very friendly and attentive. Ordered the seafood platter and everything came in fresh. The ice cream tofu texture was pretty interesting and wasn’t what you would expect from tofu. A positive experience overall!

I've been to the one in Taipei, and I feel like they had more menu options. The hotpot soup was amazing, and our food was good too. Surprisingly, the service was great too.
