The store along Chuo Dori next to Nihonbashi Takashimaya has been relocated to Nihonbashi Takashimaya SC as part of the surrounding development centered on Takashimaya. This store is not originally affiliated with Takashimaya, so even though it's inside Takashimaya SC, it's probably just an independent store with a different location, so it's an independent store that doesn't have any special benefits, including the Takashimaya Card. Even so, as someone who has worked in Nihonbashi for many years, I was "under the lighthouse" and had no idea that there was such a delicious eel restaurant so close. ▪️Cooking/Taste For two people, I paid 4,300 yen for Nidanju, and my companion paid 3,300 yen for Unagiju. It was liver-sucking. Prices are standard, but I feel it's quite reasonable for this price to be offered in such a prime location. There is also a "medium" size, but when I asked the staff at the store, they told me that each eel is made from one eel, and the price varies depending on the size of the eel. Visually, the rice in the small one is slightly visible from above. I feel satisfied enough with this. If you have a two-tiered meal, you can have the eel served in the unagi-ju style, but this time I had it separate from the rice and had it as a set meal. It may have been a long time since you've eaten Kanto-style eel, but the Kanto-style eel, which is grilled, steamed, and grilled, has the same texture as the eel itself, which is crumbly and moist. I think the quality of the eel itself is also good. I think it would be difficult to achieve this feeling if the sauce is too weak or too strong at the end, but here it is perfectly cooked. A sign outside said that the eel we ate was farmed in Isshiki Town, Aichi Prefecture, and was raised in water closer to nature than the Yahagi River. ▪️Service/Atmosphere There are only table seats inside the store. Many of the customers in this area are elderly people who seem to have plenty of time and money, and like Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, there are many customers who are a bit otherworldly, and the same is true here. Although the restaurant itself is new after being relocated, it is a restaurant where you can enjoy the atmosphere unique to Nihonbashi, where customers with a reasonable amount of time, whether alone or in groups, can enjoy eating eel at this long-established Nihonbashi restaurant. The staff at the store also gave me a good impression of their polite and calm customer service.
There were 10 people in line 20 minutes before the store opened. (Saturday) The taste was light and even the elderly enjoyed it. There is also a half-size portion, which is suitable for the elderly and small children.
