Good food and atmosphese. The entrance is hidden from the main road but the location on google map is correct. Although the table is available, a staff insisted I put my name on the queue sheet and wait outside until they call me in. This was the only not so smooth part because he didn't speak English so I try to understand from his gesture. Once I got a seat, everything was perfect. The eel takes about 30 mins so I order some small dishes to try ie. sesame tofu in a sauce & beef skewer. Both are excellent. The eel rice is really nice. It was tender and the sauce tastes just right, not too sweet nor too salty. The staff are very attentive although not speaking much English.

Amazing Unagi! The other restaurants were packed to the brim with tourists, so we decided to to search further down the road until we found this hidden gem tucked away in a small alley behind a stall. Didn't regret the decision as the Unagi was literally melting in our mouth! Recommended if you are in Kawagoe! Look out for the sign board as you might miss it...

This restaurant wasn’t first in our list to try, but we are so glad the others did not worked out and we came here for lunch. Eel is their main attraction but the menu has other options sure to please including tempura, soba, and a lot of other smaller wonderful dishes. We tried a bit of everything and was glad we did. The location on Google is correct but hard to find. The entrance is down a tiny ally from the main walkway. Our waitress deserves special mention for accommodating our large group of 8 by moving tables and attending to our every whim. Highly recommended for a relaxing, high quality meal in a very nice surroundings.
