More Comments at Google MapChopsticks go with the light sauce. Unaju, clear soup, pickles (more), and roasted green tea are brought to you on a tray. All the staff were nice, and above all, I was able to eat calmly because it was a private room. The display in the store was also cute like summer.
I went with my family at 11:30 on Sunday, August 20, 2023. I made a reservation and went. I went every year, but I couldn't go for 3 years because of Corona. Ordered hitsumabushi. With the same crispy eel, I was able to reconfirm that the eel here is the most delicious. It was a seat by the window, but the drawback was that there was dust on the window frame inside the shade.
The entrance is on the landing on the second floor of the outside stairs, giving it the feel of a hidden restaurant. I've been there a few times so I had little hesitation in pulling the door, but if it was my first visit, I'm sure my sense of adventure would have been piqued. There is no menu displayed at the entrance. Now, when you open the door, a bell rings, and from there on, everything is very polite. I upgraded my soup to liver soup and ordered eel soup. The eel does not feel burnt, probably because it is aimed at the limit of cooking. However, it is certainly well-cooked. I think the sauce is kept to a minimum to match that. As a result, the eel is tender and you can enjoy the taste of the eel. I sprinkled only a mouthful of Japanese pepper, but I decided to limit myself to just one mouthful after confirming that it would be better to enjoy the eel kabayaki without the Japanese pepper at this restaurant. Even if you don't have Japanese pepper, the pickled vegetables mixed with a small amount of perilla are perfect for refreshing your palate. Liver soup also contains a certain amount of liver, and the eel soup is well supported until the complete meal with pickled vegetables and soup. I think this is a store that makes you feel the pride of being an eel specialty store.
