Be sure to order in advance, otherwise even if you go at lunch it’s going to be al sold out! We made the mistake of not reserving and had to come back the day after. Don’t be like us 😁 We ordered the 赤重(¥2,800), and a couple of yakitori and they were all delicious. The unagi is nice and tender, the soup was very refreshing and the yakitori were so yummy! The environment was very traditional and it looked like all people eating were locals. That was a positive sign. Opened in the alleys of the shopping street, the old cement and stone floors of the small store have some water accumulation, but it does not affect the flavor of the food. Even the short wait is worth it. Perhaps it is because of the use of Japanese eel, which has no earthy taste except for the eel fragrance, or it may be because of the sauce and grilling that it is possible to make such a delicious dish.
