THE best unagi restaurant in Tokyo! The owner is friendly, and the best about this place is that you don’t have to wait an hour for the food to arrive, as in most unagi restaurants in Japan. If you dine in, and the Kimo-yaki is ready, go for it! It goes well with sake. (I recall they serve alcohol during supper time)

Delish!! Nice char, melt in mouth, tasty unagi pairs so well w the rice! (Don't forget miso soup) oishi!!!

For charcoal grilled Unagi, this would be my preference. You always get a big helping of rice and the owner is friendly and welcoming to foreigners, he can speak a little bit of English and loves to engage with his customers. Prices are very fair, location can be a bit challenging to get to, multiple changes on different train lines to get to Aomono-Yokocho station from Shinagawa station. I recommend you plan your visit easy, best for brunch and get to this restaurant early, once they sell out, they close shop and can be disappointing especially when you travel all the way there to enjoy awesome Unagi.
