THE BEST 日本 chinese food in THE WORLD ! Yes JapaneseChinese food. Like most countries, Japan does its version of Chinese & this one is great. I have enjoyed this restaurant for over 30 years. [ albeit they changed location 10 year back ] The same family still cook & run the place & the prices have hardly changed in all that time !! REALLY . There are so many great dishes but my pick is " gomoku chahan & haposai", [ fried rice with extras & the best stirfried you will ever taste -numbers 19 & 47 if you ask for an English menu]. Because it is a " mum & pop" shop [ not to be mistaken with the flashy Chinese place right next door ], it has particular opening hours & is closed ONLY one day a month. It also has great ramin .

I walked into the store without any research. I ordered dressed soba noodles (850 yen) and gyoza (500 yen). Dressed soba has a sour and spicy taste that makes it refreshing and filling even on a hot day. Full of volume with plenty of ingredients such as pork, cabbage, chives, carrots, bean sprouts, and wood ear mushrooms! Other customers who came in later also ordered ae soba one after another, so it might be a specialty menu item. The dumplings are filled with garlic-flavored bean paste and are very satisfying to eat. The taste makes you want to try other menu items as well. If I'm nearby, I'll come back to eat again!

Tokudai is the most famous Chinese restaurant in Ogikubo, but Koyoro is also a delicious restaurant. When I want to eat Chinese food with the aggressive taste of the owner, I go to Tokudai. One of the features of the restaurant is that the spicy menu items such as egg chili sauce noodles and soupless mapo noodles are not spicy enough to make your tongue hurt, but rather fragrant. I don't choke while eating. Also, if you order a large portion of the ramen menu, the noodles will become two balls at once, and it will come with a tremendous volume. smile Even those who eat a lot will be taken aback by this amount.
