More Comments at Google MapAn unforgettable cultural and culinary experience. Let me be clear that the food was top notch, but the service is incomparably superior! Ichimatsu is a 3rd generation, family-owned, traditional keiseki restaurant in close proximity to nearby Senso-Ji Temple and Tokyo Skytree. The 10-course meal was a beautiful traditional Japanese experience, mouth-watering through every serving, with a wide variety of dishes spanning sushi, cold noodles, steamed fish, beef and mushrooms and a refreshing cold soup. They had micro greens grown from their own backyard (mini cucumbers and tomatoes). The service was the BEST we’ve ever encountered. They were so friendly and explained every dish and beverage to the best of their ability and knowledge in English, this all culminated in a genuine act of kindness to return a bag we had forgotten to our hotel (halfway across town) the very same night. Also, if you go, a must try is their yuzu soda - they make their own yuzu in house and this was absolutely strong, sweet, and refreshing!!!
Came for a 9 course dinner. A delightful entrance to the building with a small garden and koi fish pond. The interior was pristine and a provide a wonderful experience. The food was exquisite. Beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Service was prompt and attentive. The set meal was expensive but well worth it in my opinion.
One of our favorite meals in Japan. We had their traditional 10 course kaiseki in a private tatami room, and each course was absolutely exquisite. Pure works of art. An unforgettable experience I hope to repeat again!
