Koganei, Tokyo, Japan｜Hōka

A work friend who’s a local recommended this restaurant and told me that they have been there for decades. It was very popular and always has long queues. We went there for dinner just before the peak hours. We ordered shrimp fried rice, pan-fried gyoza, oil soba with wontons. Everything was pipping hot and nicely seasoned but MAG was noticeable. The shrimp fried rice is fluffy and the gyoza vegetable filling was fresh and crispy. Just the wontons don’t have much filling and the skin broken quite easily. Staff and chefs are friendly. The family vibe is good.

Best Abura Soba and fried rice…love it!

I used to go there a lot over 15 years ago and went back there recently. Their Abura soba are still one of the best ramen place :3
