This is a traditional ramen shop run by the proprietress alone. We had the most popular champon and tanmen, both of which were made with careful stock and had a very mellow and deep soup. Champon is hearty and full of aromatic ingredients, so it's no wonder it's so popular. The tanmen was thin noodles that went down easily in the throat, and it was also very delicious. Both are surprisingly delicious considering the price. The shop, which is believed to have been built around 1965, when I was born, has aged well and feels 120% like home. The atmosphere is also perfect. It's a small restaurant with 9 seats and can fill up if 3 or 4 groups come in, but since it's a one-off restaurant, it's probably as big as it can be. This is Saitama City's hidden "excellent food".
