Good places to eat Ramen. Tasty and the crew is nice. The order is with a tablet as in other places but they support you with the order. Recommended if you are on Shinjuku

I started with an orange squash soft drink. Orange flavor with a hint of something else. Very refreshing and served in a chilled mug with ice. It was only 90 yen, compared to the vending machines where it's typically 100-140 yen. I had the black garlic tonkatsu with the noodles cooked "common". The broth had excellent favor. I didn't need to add any of the seasonings that are provided at the table, everything from garlic to mayonnaise. The ramen was 870 yen, and additional noodle fills are 100 yen. There are both more and less expensive ramen available and there are a lot of add on options as well. There's plenty of broth for a refill, but I was satisfied with the one bowl. Orders are done through a tablet, but the staff are super helpful. A lot of the restaurants in the area close around 10, but Ichiryu is open until 1 am (if I read the sign right). There are single seats at counters and sets of two tops on the second floor. I don't know if they had larger booths on a higher level.
