Hachioji, Tokyo, Japan｜Hinadoriyama

This local BBQ place is so good and fun. Not many Tourists know about this restaurant it is mainly for locals. Also I needed help from my Japanese friend to book. I tried online booking but had no success. It is set in a local Japanese residential area. You will need to get there by taxi from the train station. We ordered 4 sets, which is just right propulsion but if you are a big eater then order the extras. Inbetween the middle of the building there are water canals which the ingredients and drinks come by boat. The ingredients is very fresh, very nice and sweet, it all has a smoky flavours after the BBQ. The noodles are just cook right and a bit chewy. The drinks or normal nothing special. The stuff was very helpful but they did not know many English so we had to use Google Translate for them to read which was okay. After the meal you walk to the reception to pay and they car call a taxi to take us back to train station. Overall this is a must try restaurant it's a very good experience and fun way to eat.

Very unique experience where small boats bring your food via an indoor canal connected to each room. You cook skewers of chicken, fish, veggies on the charcoal grill set in the middle of each reserved room. Food is pretty good and it is perfect for a group of people. They have a beautiful garden including water mills. When you make a reservation, you can ask for a pick up at Minami-Osawa station, otherwise driving is needed.

Amazing experience... 3 of us visited the restaurant at night in December... Not sure about their English support, but I believe it is doable with no Japanese. Taxi ride from the train station is about 1,200 yen (recommended both ways).. From the menu, we ordered all 3 sets on the left and it was perfect for 3 people.... came out with 19,000 yen with tax You can also order individually but it will be a little more expensive The placement of the food on the cooking area is critical, so make sure to pay attention to photos and how people put the food I don't like tofu... But their tofu was amazing... Highly recommend...
