More Comments at Google MapThis is a quaint shop that was relocated from an old folk house. The chef, who was trained at a Japanese restaurant, will serve you delicious soba noodles and other dishes.
To be honest, it's a restaurant where you enjoy the taste more than the volume. I received the weekday limited 10-meal lunch course. It's 2100 yen. You can really feel the taste of the ingredients. There is soy sauce provided, but you can enjoy it as is or with it. The staff will carefully give you some advice, so I think it's best to just follow the instructions and try eating. The shrimp tempura is huge! It's usually Tentsuyu, but here we have it with salt. The soba is 100% soba, and I think the volume is certainly small, but the taste is the best. I'm a quick eater, but this time I closed my eyes and took my time savoring each item. What is noteworthy is not only the food, but also the elaborate architecture. It seems that houses that fit Gunma in the 19th year of the Meiji era will be relocated here. There are also Buddhist statues scattered throughout the store, and many of them are quite complete for a hobbyist. I was the only customer there, so I asked about it and was told that the owner had dug it himself. Since he made a gesture to listen to me, I thought, rudely, that he was a little older, but the topic of conversation was quite young, and he was using a smartphone and was also working on his other specialty, food carving. I was shown a lot of things. I was able to hear many stories about him as a sculptor, as a chef, and many other humane stories. I'm really glad I was able to go at a good time. There were about 3 other customers besides me, and it was very impressive that they always left with some sort of compliment. If the store isn't crowded, we also recommend talking to the general! I am very grateful that not only my stomach was filled but also many other things. We also recommend seasonal fish dishes.
Although it was a public holiday, there was a special weekday lunch and ordered! This was a full course and it was delicious! Starting with the appetizer, the oversized shrimp tempura in front of the soba is astonishing! I ate shrimp tempura that was so plump and firm for the first time in a long time! The natural mountain udon served as a service has a refreshing bitterness like spring! The appetizer had a strong taste and I wanted to have it as a snack with alcohol ... The main soba noodles are from Obanazawa City, Yamagata Prefecture. The cultivar is Mogami early. It features a faint sweetness and chewy texture. It's so light that you can eat as much as you want! I love the type! And I was surprised that the wasabi was so delicious!
