More Comments at Google MapI've been here several times, and everything I eat is delicious. The famous tanwan men (ramen with wontons in the tongue) is delicious, but personally, the fried rice is my best! Shumai is also popular, but I end up ordering gyoza instead. The photo shows fried rice and gyoza on that day. Miso soup always comes with rice when you order it. It's very ordinary, but it's also good. This "homemade karami" on the table goes well with everything, so be sure to try it. You can also take it home! Please note that Google Maps business hours are unreliable!
I visited 5 minutes before opening on weekdays. Although it was Friday, it seemed to be a popular restaurant with locals, as there were 4 groups waiting, including me, right before the store opened. The inside of the store has 1 set of seats for 4 people, 1 set of seats for 2 people, and about 12 seats at the counter, and although the facilities are old, the tabletop seasonings etc. are nice and clean. After being seated, customers continued to arrive, and the restaurant was full in about 5 minutes, with some customers waiting outside. I ordered three types of snacks and semi-spicy fried rice. The three-piece assortment was served quickly. The thickly sliced char siu is very delicious. Spicy fried rice was served in about 5 minutes. The ingredients are eggs, green onions, chashu pork, and finely chopped crab sticks (?), giving it a spicy aroma. The fried rice was dense yet light, and the taste was spicy and very delicious. Many of the other customers are ordering tanwan men, so I would like to have that as well. Payment is cash only, and (probably) no smoking.
I ordered tanwan men on my first visit. I took a bite and was shocked at how delicious it was. Flat egg noodles, garlicky vegetable soup, and smooth wontons. Personally, it was No. 1 in Tanmen history. Also, the hostess' customer service was excellent and the place was very comfortable. Next time I will bring my family!
