Hidden at the bottom of a narrow courtyard, Beet Eat can only welcome 5 guests at the counter, but what a warm welcome. On the menu today were pepper lemon chicken, keema deer curry and oyster curry. All three preparations were so flavourfull, it was hard to pace ourselves to savour our plate. We rinsed this down with a great natural wine, no need for more. This tiny restaurant does not disappoint!

"The one and only wild game curry with skillful use of spices" *Payment is cash only. I asked after making a reservation on Instagram. It is a popular restaurant as rumored because it was fully booked on this day. According to a review here, "When you arrive at the store, wait outside and wait for the staff to call you," so I waited a little at the store, but there was no call. Although it is unconfirmed at the shop, I think that it is okay to enter when the time comes because the shopkeeper is a one-man operation. There are three kinds of curry on this day. ・Asiatic black bear and wild boar lime curry ・Shrimp Curry ・Curry with pork and Japanese pepper I've never eaten black bear before, so I was looking forward to it, but maybe because it's minced meat, I didn't know much about the difference from minced pork. However, even without the gibier, it was very delicious as a spice curry, and the lime curry with a refreshing sourness, the shrimp curry with the condensed flavor of shrimp, and the pepper curry with pepper and Japanese pepper were all excellent.

Information on how to make a reservation can be found on the store's official Instagram. At night, you can enjoy a course of seasonal vegetables and wild game at this restaurant with 6 seats at the counter. On this day, I reserved it for myself. Particularly delicious were the prosciutto and fatty eggplant fries and the sweetfish confit paste. For the main hot pot, we enjoyed shabu-shabu with fresh Asiatic black bear meat with no lye and smooth fat and seasonal leafy vegetables, followed by porridge with truffles and a strangely flavored curry. Somehow, the food here has a primitive deliciousness that you instinctively gulp down. On a midsummer night, while sweating, we all huffed and puffed over hot pot with a glass of natural wine in hand. It was a great experience.
