We wanted to eat the oldest broth in the world and went to Otafuku to try it. We had delicious sukiyaki and a couple more things from the pot. The broth taste is incredible, you can taste hundreds of ingredients that went into the soup. Their English menu was also great, it had explanations of the traditional dishes and was well written. On top of this the staff was very nice and helpful. We had a great experience here and would recommend Otafuku restaurant to anyone who wants to try oden or just traditional Japanese food in general. And don't forget to try their sake, it was the best we had in Japan.

I was hoping to come here for a while after reading about how this restaurant has been using the same broth since 1945. The restaurant definitely takes a lot of pride in it’s history but is still unpretentious. I’ve never had oden before but this was a great first time! All the staff here were very welcoming and helpful during my dinner. Everything I got tasted good although it was a bit pricy so I wouldn’t recommend coming here on a completely empty stomach. I especially liked the oden noodles and cabbbage dumpling. The pudding dessert was absolutely delicious!!

I have been here many years ago, this time, it's like a brand new experience. They change a lot, and the Oden is still awesome. They renovate the interior to make it bigger, and add multiple languages menu to customers. It's super great. Highly recommend to visit here.
