More Comments at Google MapNice restaurant in a quiet neighborhood offering authentic Bhutanese food, quite hard to find. I sampled the Kewa Datshi, a milder form of the national dish Ema Datshi featuring potatoes, and some tea, and found both to be delicious. The combination of the cheese and spice makes a flavor combination familiar yet exotic. My partner had the Phagsha Pa and enjoyed it as well. If you enjoy Mexican or Japanese food, you’ll find a bit of overlap in the flavor profiles. I highly recommend it.
This restaurant is one of the few places in Japan where you can eat Bhutanese food. In Bhutanese cuisine, chili is considered as a vegetable rather than a spice, and it is cooked as a main dish and eaten with rice. 🌶 Of course it is very spicy because they use a lot of chili, but you can taste the meat and cheese in the spiciness and it is very tasty.🌶 This dish is traditional, yet very innovative, as you can directly feel the taste and texture of the chili peppers.🌶🌶 I encourage everyone to try Bhutanese home cooking.🌶
First time trying Bhutan food and it was interesting. The milk tea had a strong rose aroma, and the cheese chili stew was a perfect balance of cheese and spicy. Most dishes were spicy but yet tasty, and the chicken was so tender. Better make reservations cos they don’t accept walk in when full.
