I’m not an expert, but I’d say it’s pretty authentic Sichuan food. I requested the most minimal spiciness level for the Mapo tofu and it was still very spicy and very flavorful! It also has a strong numbing peppercorn flavor too. Be aware that the Mapo tofu does have minced meat in it despite it being listed under the vegetable category. I’ve also had the mustard greens white fish fillet with numbing spice and it’s exceptional. It’s spicy, sour, and super flavorful. It’s definitely not adjusted or watered down to Japanese-Chinese cuisine taste (when it comes to Chinese food, I’d say that’s a good thing). The dinner prices are a bit higher, but the portions are large and enough for 2-3 people. Never visited for lunch, but other reviews mention that there are reasonable lunch prices!
The atmosphere/service/dishes are considered to be relatively good Chinese cuisine at this price. The portions are not large, and the price is about 10% more expensive than ordinary Chinese cuisine (I personally think it is worth the price and suitable for couples to date). It is Sichuan cuisine, so most of the dishes are spicy. Mainly, if you eat too much spicy food, you may not know whether the food tastes good or not. . Mochi dumplings are really only good for taking pictures and taste too greasy.
