This is my father in law’s go to place. Well, he hadn’t been there since his wife passed away, but this was there place. He took my wife and I there for our celebratory marriage meal! Poignant indeed. Food and service - best!! Superb, truly spectacular. Anniversary time for us.

Go out of the entrance 3 from the basement of Keio Hachioji station, turn left and immediately on the right there is a staircase that goes down to the basement. There is a direct elevator to the store, but the bar area on the left side of the store (with the elevator behind) has only high chairs or bench seats with table seats, and there is a step in the table area on the right side, If you are in a wheelchair, you will need assistance. The shop is a French restaurant and bar with a chic and stately atmosphere, so the threshold seems high, but when I checked when I entered the shop, I was told that there was no dress code. I had the lunch menu "Special beef loin cutlet curry (salad + coffee or tea set)" (1,800 yen) with iced coffee. The salad consists of brightly colored romaine lettuce, purple cabbage, and tomato, and is dressed with a mildly sour dressing, giving you a strong taste of the fresh vegetables themselves. The fried zucchini and eggplant, boiled broccoli and carrots that accompany the curry are also unseasoned and bring out the umami of the vegetables. First, scoop up just the curry sauce with a spoon and put it on your tongue, and you can feel the acidity of the vegetable (tomato). You will not feel It's not too spicy, but the spice lingers on the tongue and the second half came a little sweaty. It feels like a proper European-style curry with various vegetables and spices and a multi-layered flavor. The loin cutlet has a thin batter and is fried to medium with a slight pink color on the cross section. The deep umami flavor unique to beef loin is overflowing, and the more you chew, the more the meat juices contained in the cells and marbling will flow out. There was only one piece of fat on the edge, but it tasted very sweet and juicy. It seems that it takes a little time (about 20 minutes) to serve the cutlet curry, but I think that is proof that it is cooked carefully. (Customers who asked for vegetable curry were served within a few minutes. They seemed to be regulars, so they may have ordered in advance over the phone.) A carefully prepared and rich curry made with each ingredient carefully. The flavor of the beef loin was exceptional. There is also a steak lunch using the same meat. I think it's good for lunchtime when you have plenty of time and your wallet. (*This is just my personal opinion.)
