Ever since I moved to the area in 1994. I go to Kitchen Nankai, Kamiigusa branch. Next door is Carina, a sandwich shop that has been loved by locals for many years, and as someone who lives in the neighborhood, I can proudly say that the two stores are located next to each other! As you approach the store, your appetite will be whetted even before you smell the fragrant frying oil.The food samples displayed in the shop window and the store's appearance give it an indescribably Showa-era retro feel. When you open the door... To a nostalgic world The time-honoured counter seats and the interior atmosphere give you a sense of the history that has been accumulated over many years. The cool and taciturn master's skillful live performance in the small kitchen is one of the exciting things to look forward to while waiting for your food. Kitchen Nankai is famous for its cutlet curry, and I've been eating the set with ginger grill for many years. Fried shrimp, fried horse mackerel, and other fried foods are dipped in batter, breaded, and fried upon order, so you can enjoy the freshly fried, crispy flavor, and the ginger-fried pork slices stir-fried in a special soy sauce sauce are sure to go well with rice! The ketchup-flavored spaghetti served as a side dish is great! Fill your mouth with miso soup. Ah, yummy~ (murmurs in my heart) For the past 10 years, I've been enjoying eating while pretending to be Goro Inogashira, the lonely gourmet. Anyway, eat heartily and naughtily! And after leaving the store... Pat yourself in the stomach... A feeling of satisfaction that makes you think, ``Oh, today was delicious too!'' From now on -----FOREVER! Thank you for the meal. . .
Kitchen Nankai, a large Japanese-style Western restaurant, is located just north of the ticket gate on the north side of Kami-Igusa Station on the Seibu Shinjuku Line. I visited for lunch on November 9th and had the chicken cutlet and ginger-grilled rice ¥750. For me, who spent several years around 20 years old in Jimbocho, Kitchen Nankai is a noren that I have a fondness for, but it is a valuable store because it has decreased dramatically in recent years. The chicken cutlet and ginger grilled platter is a standard menu in Jimbocho. It's not as big as Jimbocho, but it's nice to have pork soup at this price. It's not a busy town, but there was a wait before noon. I rarely come here, but I would like to visit again.
