It's worth the trip from Tokyo! Yes it takes a little time and effort to get there, but its the best place in the world. Miss Ringo was really photogenic and Miss Potato loved the snacks we fed her. The guinea pigs are also super cute. I also met president and the director, both are very kind as well.

Capybara Land was one of the best experiences we had while visiting Japan last month. There is care and love put into the place. The owner and worker are very accommodating and even used google translate to communicate effortlessly with us. Getting to spend time with the capybaras was amazing and not forced. A must visit!

WONDERFUL experience! If you are near Tokyo, please travel to this lovely animal cafe, it will be worth your time! The owner is clearly a guy who truly loves and cares for his capybaras with such admiration and respect. If you don’t believe me, take a look at how he talks about them on his Instagram page. The admission includes a drink and it is unlimited access to the capys. They are so expressive and adorable. You can also leave and return if you’d like. We purchased sugar cane and leafy greens as well and it was such a joy to see each capybara’s individual personality when it came to food. The Guinea pigs are equally entertaining! They hopped out of their house when we came over with greens and were so cute. This visit was at the end of our two week visit to Japan and it is what I was looking forward to the most. It did not disappoint! Please visit this cafe and help support the capys!!!
