A cafe on the 4th floor of Tokyu Plaza. It used to smell like cigarettes, but I'm glad that it became non-smoking after the renewal of Tokyu Plaza. It is famous as a shop where you can eat Banso-style hotcakes. The kitchen is clean, well prepared and comfortable. Dishes such as hot cakes and sausage meal sets have a Showa flavor. During busy times, people line up on chairs outside the store.
I visited the coffee shop Cibitas on the 4th floor of Tokyu Plaza, which is directly connected to Kamata Station. I visited around 13:00 on a holiday, but the store was full and there was a line. The customer base is mostly elderly people, and I felt that this cafe is loved by Kamata citizens. At Civitas, a long-established store, I received a standard hot cake ¥700 and a drink set of iced coffee ¥630. I was seated at the counter 20 pieces for 10 people are grilled at once on a large copper plate. I could see the dough gradually rising after baking. A thick dorayaki-shaped pancake with a round, fluffy dough that is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. It's baked on a copper plate, but the moist feeling is exquisite. I ate it as it is, but it was a superb hotcake that you can enjoy the sweetness and the taste of flour. It seems that it has been made with the same recipe since 1927, so is this the taste of Showa? I was impressed Thank you for the meal When I left the store, there was a line of about 20 people.
