More Comments at Google MapA decent and delicious restaurant. It is the work of a craftsman. place 4-5 minutes walk from Higashi-Koenji Station? exterior The exterior looks like a Showa era coffee shop. I used to see it because I sometimes pass by it on the walking path. There are German flags and German sweets outside the store. I wonder what? But there are curry and hamburgers on the menu. Is it a "normal store"? I was ignoring it. Enter the store. Wife: “Welcome” Husband: “It’s only until 2:30 p.m. The hamburgers aren’t sold out.” I visited by myself, but he was very friendly and greeted me. home lol It wasn't a difficult store to get into. I believed the reviews that it was "German food" and ordered an open-faced omelette. While waiting, the soup came out first. corn potage. It's not a store-bought product, it's a store-made one. delicious. Then salad. If you look closely, the dressing doesn't seem to be a commercial product. That's exactly what happens when you eat it. It's refreshing. In other words, you can see that each dish is served as a course meal, not just a lunch set! As I was quietly waiting with excitement, the main open omelet arrived. It came out with rice. You can refill your meal! That's it. I heard that the husband was trained in Germany when he was young. From there, we also talk about the differences in food culture between Japan and the West, kimonos, and sumo wrestling. We listened to many stories while eating. They value tradition and culture, and the classics are important. That's why we serve "classic German cuisine". It seems that they want people to eat healthy and delicious food made with good ingredients. A chef is only able to serve all course meals. I see. Then I really want to eat cake, so I got the recommended cheesecake. Both the fruit sauce and the garnished gelato have a strong natural fruit scent! The gelato also has a nice scent and the texture of the ice is moderately crunchy. Everything was handmade in the store. Cheesecake is of course delicious. On that premise, I was very impressed by the chef's thoughtfulness even in the garnish. Coffee is also delicious, so please try it. You can also see that there are local fans. They serve German food in a course, but inside, I felt like a friendly craftsman in a busy downtown area. Visiting time: After 2pm Lunch menu: open omelet, cheesecake
In this day and age, it's way too cheap to be able to eat Western food sets for lunch and dinner starting at 880 yen in Tokyo. Not only is it cheap, but it's also extremely delicious. There are also various desserts. Strictly speaking, it is German food rather than the usual Western food, but the skill of the chef who has trained locally, the thorough handmade work, the commitment to taste, and the spirit of working hard for the sake of the customers without raising prices are amazing. The lunch soup is also authentic. I could go there every day for the daily lunch special. If I had to complain about anything, it would be that smoking is allowed in all seats. Even though it's a Western restaurant, it feels strange that the display inside the store is full of Sumo wrestlers, but I don't mind that at all (lol) The chef and the lady in the hall at lunchtime are very attentive and it's a really good restaurant. I want you to do your best for a long time❗️
Visited for lunch. The Koenji overpass where the Kansai Road and Ome Kaido collide. There you will find the Gourmet Workshop Sakamaki. A wonderful restaurant in Koenji that serves authentic European cuisine at a reasonable price. The restaurant is always run by a male chef who appears to be the owner, and a cheerful lady. When you enter the store, a lady welcomes you in a soft voice, saying, ``Welcome. Nice to see you here.'' They will guide you to your seat and immediately tell you about today's recommendations. The menu is also written at the store, but on this day it was "pork cutlet" However, when the lady in the store recommended it, she said, ``Today's recommendation is pork cutlet or pork cutlet curry.Eat whatever you like.'' By the way, I have visited many times and the curry here is really delicious! In other words, the flavor of each ingredient used in the curry is brought out with just the right amount of seasoning. And it's also wonderful that it's not abbreviated as cutlet curry. On this day, I decided on pork cutlet curry. After I told them the menu, the salad and soup were brought to me in no time. On this day, it was potato soup like potage. You can tell through your tongue that it is carefully made. And it goes without saying that the dressing used in this salad is homemade. Speaking of luxury, I would like the salad to be a little more filling, but as a foodie, my opinion is not very helpful. (lol) While this was going on, the main dish was brought out. This is it, I've been waiting for it, my pork cutlet. Some people say that curry is a drink, but I felt that the marriage of pork cutlets and curry (drink) was with great respect. They also served a lot of rice, which is definitely the highest score! Today's comments are a bit long, but you can enjoy the many delicious dishes without being overly worded. By the way, perhaps because the owner is a sumo wrestler, the inside of the restaurant is decorated with pictures of Western sweets, as well as pictures of Wakanohana and various sumo wrestlers. Perhaps that's why you can find Koenji's specialty, ``Sumo wrestler miso'' here. It doesn't go well with curry, but it goes great with regular white rice, so be sure to try it when you visit the restaurant. Lunch one day left me feeling satisfied and able to enjoy the afternoon's work. Thank you for the meal.
