Super cute café based on the famous novel of Soseki. The cake and coffee was tasty. The set costs ¥900 which is the same as Starbucks or other standard cafes. I came on a Sunday morning during Golden Week and there were plenty of seats available! They have a lot of cute merch also for sale. Highly recommend going if visiting the nearby Kusama Yayoi museum.

Cafe Soseki is a very nice coffee shop inside the Natsume Soseki Museum. The special coffee menu gives you the opportunity to sip a coffee while reading a book in a comfortable and silent environment. If you visit the museum, you’ll see the cat figure everywhere, remembering the furst successful Natsume Soseki’s book, “I’m a Cat”.

Today we went to Soseki museum, it was a nice place to visit. There is a very nice Cafe in the museum - Soseki Cafe. We ordered their Macha set, which came with two cookies and a Macha. The sweetness of the cookies nicely complement the bitterness of the macha, good pairing.
