This place went so incredibly hard I couldn’t help but leave a review!! Vibes were great— the whole cafe was super cozy, the owner was very nice, and the menu is simple but cheap and done well. I got the egg toast and oughhh … the toast was soft, crunchy, and buttery, and the egg topping was delicious!! Highly recommend eating in so you can get the toast hot. I also got the cafe au lait but that was fairly standard I thought— the toast was awesome though.

Rainy Saturday morning, best place for an affordable coffee and light breakfast. While this place is known for its egg toast which is amazing, I tried their jam and toast today. The toast was light and crispy outside, soft and chewy inside. The sweet and tart strawberry jam paired with the milky and mildly bitter coffee cleansed and invigorated my palate. It’s run by an affable obaachan, and she seems to know everyone who comes in to the shop. Coffee is ground and brewed in house, and she basically runs the store by herself (at least in the early mornings). Love the retro atmosphere with morning radio blaring and wide windows that let in plenty of natural light. The downside is that some customers smoke inside, but I guess that lends to the retro atmosphere. Support small local businesses, and give this place a try when you’re in the neighborhood!
