A wonderful cafe. With yummy cake and drinks, also with quiet place. The cake is sweet and sour. The cafe is with delightful photos. Its hard to imagine a city has a quiet place like this cafe. I can relax here.

Best homemade cakes ever for less than 500 yen! Simple & delicious rustic cakes made from scratch with love. This cute kissaten is baking delicious cakes everyday. They use seasonal ingredients so there is a large variety of cakes all year round. The café is nearby Waseda university so it tends to be crowded but it has a very nice cozy atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy a nice coffee/tea time with a delicious cake. The tart tatin and the blueberry cheesecake are highly recommended! The pound cake is also amazing! Bonus: take-away is available and you can also order a whole cake.

This is a great individual café, very much unlike all those dull coffeshop chains. Even though they don't serve espresso based stuff like Cafe Latte, the coffee is rather delicious - maybe brewed a little too hot, but still really delicious. The atmosphere is cosy and a little bit retro, in a good way. Owner and staff are very friendly and easy going, adding to the positive experience. But in my mind, the real star of the show are their cakes! Good lord, they are soooo tasty! Especially the chocolate tarte and the cheese cake. Me being German, I have high standards when it comes to cakes 😉, but they are really top notch. Also, their presentation in a glass case in the middle of the room very much reminds me of the way cafés in Germany showcase their cakes. Customers are mostly younger to middle aged Japanese women, but also some foreigners - probably students of nearby Waseda university.
