Great matcha cafe on the first floor of 1899 Tokyo in Shimbashi. Simple minimalist decor, with matcha and tea related trinkets. Very nice and friendly staff. Tasty drinks with varying degrees of matcha intensity.

Cute ambiance, the music is great and lots of light. Simple and modern vibes. They only have matcha latte (hot or cold), not matcha by itself. The matcha cake is really good. If you buy matcha cake with matcha latte, you get 100 yen discount. They also have gluten-free brownies for takeaway in several different flavors.

(Feb.23) If you go down Red Brick Street from Onarimon Subway Station, you will find "Hotel 1899", and this cafe is on the first floor. The store is spacious and has a clean feel. The relaxing space has been designed in various ways so you can relax. By the way, this cafe specializes in Japanese tea and serves delicious drinks, mainly Rokusencha, which is a blend of deep-steamed tea from six regions across the country. When you actually drink it, the depth, richness, and mellow sweetness are unlike any other. The cup size is quite large, and the price is reasonable. Even compared to pretentious high-end Japanese tea specialty shops, this one is more delicious! ️ I think. There is also a corner where you can buy tea and other products inside the store, which might make great souvenirs. There was also a food menu. I also liked the dedicated service provided by the staff.
