More Comments at Google MapMy wife and I came here a few times during our three week stay in Tokyo. How fortunate that we first stopped here after taking our clothes to the laundromat, as this is perhaps one of our favourite cafes we visited in all of Japan. The decoration inside is what I can best describe as quaint and old school. It's like a slice of older times before cafes became dominated by soulless mainstream corporate chains. It puts you immediately at ease the moment you enter. The owner is a polite older gentleman who made all the coffee and sandwiches himself, each of which was surprisingly more delicious than the last. How can a simple gently toasted sandwich be so tasty? If you order the set (sandwich, coffee and slice of cake) it's also fantastic value. I had the chocolate cake and it was moist and rich, but not overly sweet and stuffy. The iced coffee was refreshing and fragrant with absolutely no sourness. We came here four times in total because we truly fell in love after our first visit. The atmosphere is so relaxing I could have had a nap! On our last visit I enjoyed the owner brewing a warm coffee with his classic siphon set and the coffee was truly delicious, and the owner clearly took pride in his work as he explained to us how the process works. Not really any espresso or milky coffee options available for those who'd rather those, but with their siphon coffee tasting so good I'd not recommend them even if they had them! If you find yourself in Akihabara and want a relaxing and quiet coffee place without foregoing the quality, this is the place for you. It's location means it's a little off the beaten tourist track but it's well worth a visit. It's about ten minutes from Akihabara JR station and even closer to the metro. The whole neighourhood this cafe is in is a refreshing break from the hussle and bustle of Akihabara and Tokyo in general. ありがとう ございます!
Cozy and quiet place to relax. Homemade half cheesecake and half chocolate cake with coffee were delicious. Locals and office workers seemed to be regulars on this quaint cafe.
We've been there during our stay in Tokyo this March. We are coming from Germany, so the name of this Caffè sounds german to us. We went in without any expectation we just wanted some coffee and god knows it was wonderful! The taste was excellent, the host was very friendly and it was pretty cheap for Akihabara I would say. All in all, our next trip to Japan we would absolutely come again!
