More Comments at Google Map2023-10 This European-style curry restaurant is located in Toyoshiki, Kashiwa City, about a 5-minute walk from the Old Nikko Kaido Entrance intersection on National Route 16 along Nikko Higashi Oukan. I used it for the first time for lunch on Saturday. There is a parking lot for 3 cars in front of the store, but it is a little narrow and the road in front has a lot of traffic, so it may be a little difficult if you have a large car. On this day, I had some shopping to do at the nearby Aeon Kashiwa store, so I took a walk from Aeon and visited there. It was around 11:40 noon and there were 2 groups of 4 people. The inside of the store is small, and there are three tables for two people, but the middle one has pots of ornamental plants and doesn't seem to be used normally. Maybe if there were 4 guests, the tables would be moved closer together. There are also 5 counter seats. We were told to "please go to the counter" and sat down behind the counter. I was hungry when I looked at the menu on the table, so I ordered the ``Deluxe Curry Beef Large Size 1000 + 100 Yen''. My wife ordered ``Deluxe Curry Chicken + Egg 1000 yen + 50 yen'', both with ``Very Spicy''. (All tax included) According to the menu, ``Very Spicy'' is said to be ``4 times as spicy'' as ``Normal,'' but the reviews said that people who like spicy food should order ``10 times as spicy.'' I thought it would be about four times as good." The counter has a good view of the kitchen inside, and the food is prepared in order, starting with the food for the previous customer. The set salad that was served first was a small amount on a small plate, but it tasted like cole slaw and was delicious. As I watched, wondering if it was our turn to cook, I saw a large amount of yellow turmeric rice placed on my plate. My wife and I looked at each other and said in a whisper, ``That's not a huge serving of rice, right?'' The owner put the rice into the frying pan. Then he divided the rice into two plates and placed them on the counter, saying, ``Okay, this is a large serving of butter rice,'' and ``This is a regular serving.'' Apparently, the turmeric rice is fried in butter and served here. Each curry roux was served in a separate deep plate. The curry is almost soup-like and smooth. The beef is about 10 pieces of small diced meat. There are no vegetable-like ingredients at all. When I scooped up some curry roux and poured it over turmeric rice and took a bite, I saw that it was quite spicy and delicious. It's not an Indian curry, or a European curry from a hotel or a Western restaurant, but it tastes like a simple but deep and elegant curry soup. It doesn't have the bitterness or oiliness that is common with innepa-style curries, and goes well with turmeric butter rice. The spiciness was ``very spicy,'' which was just the right level of spiciness for me, and I started sweating while eating it. My wife's chicken curry probably uses the same roux, just the meat used in the stir-fry is different. By the way, my wife's evaluation was "It's amazing!" (lol; I had a large portion, but I finished it easily. I think adult men should have a large portion. At the end, a small vanilla ice cream was served to cleanse the palate. I thought it might be a little strange since the reviews were mixed, but it was a very satisfying lunch that suited me and my wife. It is not suitable for people who want to eat curry with lots of ingredients, but it is recommended for people who want to simply enjoy curry itself.
First visit in 35 years. When my father was still healthy, I begged him to take me to Indie 28. At that time, there weren't many elaborate curry restaurants, so when it opened, it became a bit of a hot topic. Turmeric rice was served, and I remember being very surprised because it tasted like curry that I had never had before. This time, I came to the store on my way home from a business trip to eat the taste of memories. I ordered the deluxe beef spicy dish, which included salad and ice cream for 1,000 yen, which was a bargain. The important curry is delicious, and the lady has great customer service. The curry is a light, soup-like curry, and the moment I eat it, I'm instantly immersed in emotion. It was so delicious that I ordered a second helping of Indie curry dry. I think I prefer the beef curry taste. But delicious. Above all, the fact that it has been there for 35 years is proof of a famous restaurant. I think it's delicious even without memory correction, so please stop by if you're in the area.
A store I've always wanted to visit. There is a parking lot for 3 cars in front of the store, but it was difficult to park because it is on a road with a lot of traffic. I ordered the dry curry, which had good reviews. Very spicy & large portion. Comes with a small side dish of salad and curry (chopped rakkyo, raisins, pickles) and a bite of ice cream after the meal. The dry curry had a rich spice flavor and was addictive, as expected. It was delicious! ! I made it very spicy, but it wasn't that spicy, so I think I'll go up a notch next time. I also wanted to try other curries and spaghetti. Yes, it's definitely a good store. I'll go there. postscript So I'll be visiting again soon. This time I ordered meat sauce. It feels like dry curry on top of spaghetti. This is another blissful taste. I think this is an option as well. I wonder what I should do next... and I'm completely captivated by this store. . .
