More Comments at Google MapExcellent local cold soba and tempura. I would go here everyday if I could! Standing soba place. Limited space, about 6 people. You order on machine, hand the ticket to cook, eat and leave. Most locals don't spend more than 15 min inside. Cash only. Staff are really nice, mostly don't speak English.
Very typical little restaurant. The soba udon was very good (and cheap). The service is nice and fast. You can pay only by cash and you order from a little machine (only in Japanese), but you have the photos of the dishes. Really recommend to enjoy a typical "fast" lunch were you eat stand up.
One of the best meals in terms of value for money ($4 dish), overall flavor and unique dining experience I've had in Tokyo. It's a tiny place that literally only sits 7 people back to back. You eat while standing up. The whole place looks like 15sqm. I had the cold udon dish with kaki-age (type of tempura). The udon was springy and chewy, the broth was flavourful and the thickness of the kaki-age was perfect because by the time get to the top crispy part the bottom has softened up and blended with the broth enhancing the overall flavour. If you're around the area, you need to try this place. Avoid lunch time as it gets really crowded with locals and take a photo of the vending machine to Google translate your way into an order. Attaching a photo of the translated menu for convenience. Highly highly recommended
